I loveeeee when a hotel just gets it 🤌🏼 Sublime Co I loveeeee when a hotel just gets it 🤌🏼 Sublime Comporta is one of those places where everything… and I mean everything… was perfection! The design alone would have sold me. The way they laid out this property makes you feel like you’ve completely left the real world behind. Private villas tucked into the trees, the most peaceful energy, and this incredible connection to nature that never feels forced. You walk around and it’s just... quiet. In the best possible way. But what really sets it apart is that the experience matches the aesthetic. The service was fantastic, the food was insanely good, and there was never a moment where I felt like the vibe was carrying something the rest of the stay couldn’t back up. Everything delivered 👏🏼 This is one of those properties that I feel like isn’t getting nearly enough attention on the travel scene, and honestly that might be part of what makes it so special. No crowds, no hype, just a really intentional stay that makes you not want to leave. Comporta in general is such an underrated destination and Sublime is the reason I’d go back. ZERO noise issues btw. COFFEE + BREAKFAST Copenhagen Coffee Lab Fábrica Coffee Roasters Dear Breakfast WHERE TO EAT O Vinhaça — little Alfama tapas spot with an amazing wine list Taberna Sal Grosso — hole in the wall in Alfama with insaneeee food Rocco — popular Italian spot in the chic Ivens hotel Taberna da Rua das Flores — tiny, no reservations and cash only, so go early and put your name down Prado — a popular spot Lupita — casual pizza night in Cais do Sodré, expect a queue WINE + DRINKS By the Wine — ceiling made from thousands of wine bottles Lisbon Winery Red Frog — speakeasy cocktail bar, book ahead, no walk-ins The Old Pharmacy NEIGHBORHOODS + THINGS TO DO Chiado — my favorite area for wandering, shopping + stopping for food Príncipe Real — concept stores, cute streets + the best shopping Alfama — wander the backstreets between the viewpoints Miradouro das Portas do Sol Miradouro da Graça Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara Belém — the waterfront + the original pastel de nata at Pastéis de Belém SHOPPING Embaixada — concept stores inside a gorgeous Moorish-style palace in Príncipe Real LX Factory — shops, restaurants + galleries in a converted industrial complex With an extra day, Sintra is an easy day trip! We had to cut it because of our flights. Book both online in advance, the timed slots sell out. Next up: Comporta, Lagos, Porto + the Douro Valley!!
